Join us in exploring

Textile Art in the North Bay

We are parents, students, working professionals, artists, and hobbyists…the next generation for fiber artists and crafters.

TAC invites you to explore the idea of boundaries! Our first annual project is opened to TAC members and non-members working any fiber or textile based medium or process.

Unleash your creativity within parameters you set for yourself, or get out of your comfort zone with a new style or approach. Big, small, literal or conceptual, this project is just for fun and totally up to you!

Near the end of the year there will be an opportunity to share your work and view other participants creations. You can begin at anytime during the year. There is no cost, or requirement to display what you have made.

Textile Arts Collective

Subgroup of Redwood Guild of Fiber Art

Since 1949, the Redwood Guild of Fiber Arts has been a hub of community and learning in the North Bay Area. The Textile Arts Collective is keeping that tradition alive as an inclusive gathering space for the next generation of fiber enthusiasts. We are parents, students, working professionals, artists, and hobbyists.

It is our mission to make fiber arts accessible to all, through exhibitions, community outreach, and peer support.

With summer being a busy time of year we opted for a potluck in August.

Have Questions?

I am interested in fiber/textile arts but don’t have much experience. Is this group for me?

Yes! We we welcome folks working in a wide variety of mediums, and with a range of experience levels. Any exhibition or demonstration opportunities are optional or by invitation. Our meetings are a great place to ask questions, learn about resources in our area, or even connect with a mentor.

How do I become a member? Is there a cost to join?

It’s easy! Attend a meeting or 2, or 4. If you like hanging out with us, you are a member! We ask all members to join our parent organization, the Redwood Guild of Fiber Arts. An individual membership is $35 for a full year. Learn more about the benefits of joining RGFA here. Redwood Guild of Fiber Arts – Membership

Membership is not for me right now. How can I still stay connected?
